A Success Story About Someone Else.

Friends: good news. For those of you tired of reading posts about my life (thanks for the unprompted advice this morning... your life is boring too!). The James Kochalka interview is now in! Kochalka is a legendary indie comic author/children's book author/musician. My chat with him will be posted tomorrow, so sit tight.

In other news, I just was perusing PerezHilton.com when I discovered this:

In the past two years, I've had seven subletters in my apartment. I just cannot seem to commit to being away for too long, so I rent it out two months at a time, always thinking I'll be back. I am painfully choosy about who gets to stay here with all of my stuff. I have OCD and don't want anyone to touch anything in my apartment. I try to find people who look like they will just sleep in the bed at night and then leave.

This guy (above) was one of my first candidates, in January of '07. He was coming out here for pilot season, trying to land a role on a sitcom, and he really wanted the place. I almost went with him - he was nice - but he was a tad young for my taste.

Two years later, Nolan Gerard Funk appears to be the star of a brand new Nickelodeon show - and Perez Hilton has deemed him the next Zac Efron. Congratulations Nolan - a Hollywood success story. I love those.
